My incredible 1st full month of blogging

My incredible 1st full month of blogging

I can’t believe it’s been a little over a month now since I’ve officially taken my blog seriously. For those that do not know… I originally started this blog back in March 2020. I started it on impulse due to missing the overall writing i used to do back in the day.

I first tapped into blogging in 2016 and never took it as seriously as I wanted to. I also learned more about e-commerce, dropshipping, and affiliate marketing which then had me all over the place (I blame my neurodivergent brain for that).

Anyway, this month has been truly incredible. I re-launched this blog on September 1st in honor of my birthday month. It was also a very last-minute decision — I guess I’ll never learn when it comes to stressing myself out with last-minute decisions; maybe it’s a libra thing.

Going back to 2020, my blog would get no more than 400 monthly views within the first 4 months of its being launched. However, this re-launch? I was able to get over 700 page views within the first DAY. I was literally in tears because I never thought it would even be possible.

I realized that I had created a lot of anticipation for my blog two weeks prior to the launch. I had also a Facebook post that went viral (at least what I consider viral) and leveraged my website on the post once it hit 5k shares. My website through KOJI, has all the important information highlighting my blog and virtual assistant side hustle/business.

You can check out my koji HERE to see what I’m talking about. If you’d like to also sign up for koji, I highly recommend doing so. Click the link on the BOTTOM of the koji website to create yours; it is 100% free and you can monetize with so many different apps. I love it 10/10 and recommend it.

I also have to show appreciation to a friend/client of mine; Monis. She took it upon herself to share my website at the hour I had launched my blog and I am super grateful for her doing that. You should check out her content on Youtube, Tiktok, and Instagram. Stay tuned for my Virtual Assistant journey blog post coming soon for all the details.

Any tips for aspiring bloggers?

Yes, be yourself and plan plan plan!!! Your content can’t write itself nor can it upload itself. Definitely take a day out of every week to plan at least 3 blog posts for the upcoming week. Understand your plans and goals for your blog. Understand how many times you’ll be posting and really break it down into segments everyday.

If you’re posting a 3/month, you can take 2/3 days out of the week to write, edit and schedule the blog post as well as create 3-5 graphics in order to promote it on Pinterest, Instagram, and facebook groups. Don’t forget to also plan your email marketing as well.

If it does get too much, don’t forget you can delegate tasks. That can mean hiring a virtual assistant, utilizing tools or other sites as well. Stay tuned for the HOW TO START A BLOG Series coming soon Nov. 2022.

Rant about Blogging #312382

It has truly been such a whirlwind experience for me so far. Even in the years, I didn’t take it seriously. You may be wondering why and it’s simple; I love to learn about all things writing and income online, there’s no secret that I’ve learned a lot in this process. From basic coding to new words and meanings, tools that are beneficial to bloggers and fans of blogs, as well as learning new ways to network with people overall.

Finding my ‘niche’ was one of the most difficult parts of this journey. I knew i wanted to speak on certain topics but i didn’t know if they would clash well together. I also knew i wanted to share my entrepreneurship journey as well because it’s not just a passion of mine but MY lifestyle which is why this is lifestyle niche. My entire brand is lifestyle things, there may be more than one topic but everything will balance each other out and connect in some way shape, or form.

I did want to do a challenge this month where I’d blog every single day of the month BUT I’ve had a lot of things going on with my family, my business, side hustles, and my overall mental health where it just wasn’t possible to make happen. I am proud that I was able to get as many blog posts as I did this month though, that’s a new record for me! *round of applause*

I honestly can’t wait to see where this blog will take me in the next 3+ months.

Do you make an income from doing this?

I did get asked this frequently over on Facebook groups. I want to point out that I do NOT make an income from my blog but I will, eventually.

I didn’t implement any monetization towards my blog this month due to everything going on. I want to be confident in the products, services, and overall content that I refer all of you to either purchase or overall learn about. I do not want to provide low-quality products or services as well as add any type of affiliate here, that is what my Facebook deals and sales group page is for (;

Taking my time and being authentically myself, ordering the products, and vetting the services, is what you’ll get from me and my blog. That is what you will be supporting if you decided to purchase a product or service based on my referral/recommendation. Blogging is a passion that I hope someday will become part of my career, every day I’m working towards that lifestyle I envision myself to have.

I’m truly excited that you’re choosing to be a part of this journey with me. Don’t forget to sign up for my newsletter to stay up to date when a new blog post comes out and other updates. Until next time!
