Life Lately

In a lot of ways, blogs are like diaries.

I come on here and share thoughts, opinions, and my life story with all of you who choose to stay and read (which I am very thankful by the way). I also have the ability to come back to these posts weeks, months, and even years later to see the overall growth in all aspects.

Between the growth of my writing, and marketing, the way my thoughts and overall life changed. Think that is just a beautiful thing, kind of like a time capsule of some sort. I realized during my time away from writing and publishing posts that I don’t really give life updates like I used to. I want to get back to that, so here I am. I took a break from writing content because back-to-back life has just been well, life-ing!!! Pretend that’s a word ok? Thanks.

Family Things

Anyway, between vet visits, urgent care and hospital trips with my Grandma, food poisoning, and overall just not feeling 100% energy-wise, it has been a huge chaotic roller coaster twist and turns, I don’t get on roller coasters — this one just so happens to be one that I cannot control whether or not I get on it unfortunately.

Life really is unpredictable. Sometimes it can be super funny and the other moments it just can be truly hectic where you blink and it’s like why and how is it now August 31st when it was just January 1st three days ago? Yeah Yeah, I know — the quote they all used to say when we were in our teen years and they trinkle in every year when it gets closer to your birthday… YOU KNOW the saying… “enjoy it now because it gets quicker and quicker as the years go by.” MHM, told you, you knew it.

Self-Love Things

There have been really great and positive things in my life though.

I have been enjoying my alone time a lot more. Journaling a lot, listening to new music (or at least trying to) enjoying HBO max, Apple TV and Netflix choosing things I haven’t watched yet. Overall getting to know who I am a lot more and it has been interesting and beneficial. Of course there are moments that do get lonely but I’m really content with the way life is and I sure do know how to have a party of one with some good music, snacks and snapchat filters (no sarcasm at all, I promise). It’s actually very peaceful… as best as it can be living with family though LOL. Love them though.

Business Things

I do still have my Virtual Assistance business where I work with my one client since March of 2022. She’s become a really good friend of mine and we are actually planning to finally get together the next few weeks. She’s been patient with my social anxiety and with my work schedule too. She’s got a busy schedule herself, she’s a real trooper that woman. She’s so inspiring and I hope when I am blessed to be a mom someday, that i’ll be even half the mother she is. That half plus half of the way my own mother is, my child would be so lucky.

I have been working on strengthening my current skills and trying to narrow down the services i’d like to offer in my business that way it’s easier to market myself. It’s difficult to narrow down since I truly do enjoy helping others with their business and overall brand in any capacity, especially if it challenges me. But i know this would be the best approach, i’ll figure it out one day. I have also been putting myself out there to more influencers and local businesses, in hopes to sign contracts for 2024.

My blog’s exposure has been increasing daily due to my marketing and showing up on social media more. I’ve been creating a space and community on my new FB page by sharing inspirational and motivating quotes as well as sharing ways to make income, marketing tips, etc… I feel like I’d be really great at a business mentor some day, which is a goal.

I started a new business opportunity within email marketing. I send out pre-written emails and get paid for it! It’s pretty neat and doesn’t take too much time off my day. If you’d like more information about that you can message me on instagram ‘email marketing’ and I’ll send you all the details. I’ve been doing it since the beginning of August and have seen amazing results with my experience and seeing others journey as well.

Dating Life + Friendships + Family Relationship Things

The family and I have been enjoying our weekends at our new campground out of state. We have been taking turns on who exactly is going for a few different reasons. It’s really nice to go there and decompress, get away from working all day everyday or having to worry about the laundry/cleaning. Thats stuff to take care of when we get back. You’ll see more posts of those days and times soon I promise!

Dating has been something truly interesting in my life, I might add. For me, dating apps were always the go-to, even to just make some friends. At least the apps that you could actually make friends off of because of course there are some dating apps where you know you’re either there for hooking up, marriage or of course the apps for the in-between or as they call it situationships. I am single. Have been out of a committed relationship for 5.5 years now.

I have been on these dating apps and have virtually met throughout the years but nothing really stuck to me. Some of those that I had pursued lead to me meeting new friends and or instead of it being more it just was strictly friendship that grew, which I find pretty neat. I believe in crossing paths with people for a reason, you learn something from everyone you come across in life as long as you’re opened to it.

This year however there’s only been two people that have caught my attention in this way. One person I’ve actually known since 2019 and he’s local, mutual friends and we actually were brought together thanks to Instagram. While the other I did meet off a dating section of a social media site and it was too good to be true situation, and the only details needed to know now is that it did not work for us and that is ok. I did learn a lot about myself in that 2-3 month time period and I take that as a win. I will also stop ignoring my gut feelings thanks to that lesson learned.

However, the first mystery man I mentioned above? He’s actually wonderful, handsome and really a considerate person. He’s become a really important person in my life over the years but in the last 8 months, our connection and friendship has just gotten stronger. He’s taught me how to see life from different lenses and I’m enjoying the entire journey of it.

He’s also introduced me to a new form of dating it’s called, ‘let it flow’. It’s where there’s no pressure, no expectations, growing friendship and letting it flow to be whatever it is meant to be. Wild? I know right! (yes, thats sarcasm)

I’m sure you’ve probably heard of it but see, I didn’t believe in this form of ‘dating’ in these modern dating days. I thought that the explanation I first got about a year ago or so, it was more like a situationship or a friends with benefits type of thing. See but one evening we had a conversation and I’m not sure if I decided to really listen/read this time, if the words used this time made more sense to me or if the stars were just aligning correctly in the sky but it just… CLICKED for me. This was about 3.5 to 4 months ago and let me say, it has been going really great so far. NO complaints here! #HappyCamper

Funny story, I also spoke about this with my mom just two weeks ago or so and she goes ‘yeah that’s called old school dating’ and welp, I couldn’t help but laugh at myself for a good 15 minutes. I kinda still laugh at myself. I guess my brain just doesn’t pick up things normally, I’ll forever blame the neurodivergent brain of mine.

I do want to say that I’m truly grateful for this special person in my life. Not only have I been seeing life in a different way but I’ve been inclined to learn more about topics I’d never care to be researching. Like I have a note in my phone where I did some basic research before a UFC fight because I just so happened to know he’d ask me who I’d think would win. I didn’t want to go in blind, had to do some basic research. Oh and I was right on one of them, go me. I also have been trying to get better at Sudoku because of him and not in a competitive way, I just finally get the basic grasp of it that I now want to get better!!! Who knows… maybe I’ll introduce him to the blog one day, I do know he reads some of my posts, wonder if he’ll read this one haha. Hey hey if you are!

Future Career Life Goal Things

Another important and last topic I want to speak on today is that I do know I want to be a full-time entrepreneur. I have never felt so sure about this more than this year actually in the last 3-4 months. I’ve really been pushing to save more money, invest more money, invest more time in making more money and setting myself up in the best possible ways to be able to do what it is I truly want to do. Which again is being a full time my own boss!

Final Thoughts and Life Blurb

I have this feeling that a new chapter in my life is really approaching, sooner than I thought it would and the craziest part is I’m not even afraid for it to come. I’m slightly hesitant because I don’t feel 100% prepared but if it’s one thing my past journal entries have reminded me is that, I’m not always going to be 100% ready for the things that are meant for me. Sometimes it’ll show up when I’m 50-65% ready and it’s almost like a test of whether or not i’ll work harder to make it happen at that capacity or it’ll have to be put on pause and come back around when I’m a little more ready. That made sense in my brain so i truly hope it made sense for you.

Well, that’s my life update. I’m excited to see the next one. It can be two weeks from now or two months from now, I don’t really know at this current moment. I do know that, when you’re reading this it will be 27 days until my 27th birthday. Which means this is the first blog post of my birthday series. Stay tuned for more, #BirthdaySeries is b-b-back!
