What inspired you to get into this field?

What inspired me to get into this field was my following on Tik Tok skyrocketing after sharing my story. I figured since I now have another platform why not monetize off of it.

What type of products do you sell/work with?

I sell 25mm mink eyelashes. I have a business called Brat’s Way. I plan on launching some cosmetics later on this year. Products I mainly work with are all things beauty like skin care, body care, hair care etc

What is your favorite type of content to create?

I think my favorite content to create would be story-times. I love talking and I know how to tell stories. My followers love that. I can authentically be myself in these videos and they don’t take that much effort to make. I just sit in front of the camera and start talking

What would you tell your younger self?

I’d tell my younger self that I am not my current circumstances and despite everything I’ve gone through things will get better. Fortunately for me they did and I’m so blessed

Is money the motive or passion? Be honest.

Money is motive for me. Knowing that I can authentically be myself and get paid for it fuels me to continue to show up. Now I don’t get paid off of Tik Tok or for my videos on Tik Tok at all so I’m really doing this out of pure enjoyment. The money will come and I’m okay with that

What does success look to you? When do you know you’re successful?

I know I’m successful when I’m financially free. That’s what screams success to me. I knew I was successful when I first blew up on Tik Tok but I knew I was successful when people started recognizing me in public and telling me they loved my videos. It’s such an amazing feeling and everyone I’ve encountered has been so sweet

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day for me is I get up super early whether it’s 5am or 8am. I’ll pray, meditate, journal, stretch and get a workout in. I’ll shower afterwards and start setting my filming set up, figure out what promo needs to be done and the content I’m gonna create for the day. I’ll edit for periods of time, do my homework (I’m a college student) and I’ll end my night going live with my Tik Tok family

Do you have any regrets within your planning of business or overall journey?

I think the only regret I have with my overall journey from a business aspect is not starting sooner. When I was younger I never had the mindset of being my own CEO. I thought it costed too much and it wasn’t achievable and realistic. Nobody in my family is an influencer or a content creator or owns their own business. So with me doing it and being the first to do it I made a-lot of mistakes. I also feel like I’d be alot farther but everything happens for a reason and I’m so grateful for my journey this far

3 things you wish you knew before you started on this journey?

3 things I wish I knew before I started this journey was my target audience. When I first started my business I had no clue who I was talking to and that led to me not making alot of sales my first year of business. I ended up changing my business name, make a new instagram for it and purchased courses to learn more about target audience.

That could have been prevented if I had a plan. That’s the second thing I wish I knew. Business plans are very vital when it comes to your business. HAVE A PLAN! If you fail to plan you plan to fail.

The third thing I wish I knew before I started my journey that being vulnerable online can make people feel like they can say and do whatever. Everything doesn’t need a response. I used to respond to so much negativity when I first started out because I was defending my character. I tell yall what I want you to know, you still don’t know everything.

I can’t control what people say or do but I can control my reactions and how I respond. So I started to stop responding and just blocking people. I don’t need any unnecessary negativity into my life

Anyone in your family also an entrepreneur or influencer?

No one in my family are entrepreneurs or influencers. I’m the first one and the only one that I know of. Honestly it’s a bittersweet feeling being the first.

who or what inspires you to keep going everyday?

What inspires me everyday is myself. I look back at my 16 year old self now that I’m 24 almost 25 like wow, I’ve overcome so much. Was it hard? Yes. Would I do it again? Yes. No matter what I went through I never stopped. I kept going. I knew I’d be somebody someday and this is only the beginning

what would you tell a beginner looking up to where you are now?

What I would tell a beginner looking up to where I am now is never give up. Everything will fall into place as long as you show up, as long as you have drive as long as you see the end goal, everything else will follow suit. Some days you might not wanna show up but if you don’t show up then who will? Show up and show out!

What is the biggest struggle in your journey this far?

What my biggest struggle is in my journey this far is learning how to monetize myself with the community I’ve created. There’s so many avenues of revenue that I can take advantage of but honestly I get so overwhelmed trying to be everywhere and be present everywhere. It can be difficult but I want to scale myself as the year progresses

what would you change if you could go back to the very beginning?

If I could go back to the beginning and change anything it would be reacting to negativity so quickly and easily. When I first because a content creator on Tik Tok I shared my story about my toxic family and it blew up. Like I said before when you are vulnerable on social media it opens up different realms and walks of life commenting and saying whatever about a situation I summarized on social media.

I’d be so quick to react to someone’s ignorance because I’m already battling a lot but your not even listening to what I’m saying online. You’re purposely trying to misconstrue my words, miss the point or insult me. So now I have to defend myself. Now, I’m quick to block and delete people. I don’t have time, I’m not wasting my breathe no more, do what you wanna do, say what you wanna say I don’t care

How did you build confidence to do what you do?

Honestly? Youtube helped me build my confidence up. I was already confident in what I was doing and seeing that my voice resonated with over 2,000 people I knew I could keep doing it and go to another big platform and do it again. Now I have almost 400,000 watching and supporting me. I love them like they’re my family and they love me too

are there people you want to work with currently?

Yesss, I wanna network and collaborate with alot of people. I love Fannita, Kees, Big Boss Vette, Jiquay Tiana The Lawyer. Aliyah so she can dress me in Aliyah Core, it’s sooo many names I could mention!

what is the 3 year goal?

The three year goal is to be financially free being a full time content creator and influencer. I’ll have my degree in hand and I’ll really be able to commit to this full time without feeling like something is holding me back or preventing me from progressing farther

One message you want the world to know the most about being an entrepreneur or influencer?

One thing I want people to know about being an entrepreneur and influencer is that as long as you stay true to yourself, you will be so blessed in these spaces. Networking will take you FAR! It’s never what you know but who you know. If you want to be an influencer or entrepreneur act like it. Show up like that every single day until these brands start to notice you. Give it your all

Who would you like to see featured on my blog?

I’d love to see my good friend Jhavion on the blog he is so funny. He has so many viral moments and I love that he’s blossoming as a comedian and entertainer. It’s never dull on Tik Tok because of him
