What tools or resources do you rely on for content creation and editing?
My main tools are Capcut, Polarr, and Facetune! I can not go without these apps otherwise my content would not be as clear and greatly edited! I’ve been using these apps since the start of my career!
How do you engage with your followers and create a sense of community?
I always ask my audience to engage in my broadcast channel by answering polls and answering questions to make sure my audience knows I care about them. I answer back on comments no matter how many there are. Sometimes I’ll even follow them back and comment on their stuff.
Do you have any tips for managing and responding to comments and messages effectively?
I have no tips whatsoever! It’s hard, very hard to keep up with comments especially when you get hundreds at the same time. However, I do suggest liking and commenting when you first post. Take a few minutes per hour or 2 to answer messages and comments. You don’t want to overdo it as all social media platforms will ban you for a few minutes to an hour to possibly days or months just for engaging too much within the hour.
What are some common mistakes you see new influencers make, and how can they be avoided?
Common mistakes are how hype they are in the beginning and then how much they slack once the information is given and they realize the money doesn’t come right away. New influencers literally expect brands and money to pop up within a week of them starting.
Another mistake is reaching out to brands with no social media added and no content on their pages or recent content to show the brand what they can bring. It’s crazy how they expect doing the bare minimum will make them thousands of dollars. It doesn’t work that way. Look at the influencers who are making thousands and millions every video. Why are they making that?
Well look at Mr. Beast for example. That man has been working hard for YEARS before receiving anything. He posts consistently bringing bangers after bangers. He knows what his audience is looking for, and the type of content they enjoy. You have to put the work in, in order to get the results you want. No way around it.
Are there any particular niches or industries you believe are particularly promising for influencers?
All of them! Fashion, beauty, tech, music, home, home improvement, food, drinks, etc. Literally every brand that’s out can use an influencer if they have the funds for it. If you are a great influencer with a lot of influence in this world who can bring sales. You are worth putting money into. I know I am a great one when I saw that I made the brand Knix over $6K within a few days, I made a washing machine sell out on Temu within minutes, and I even got over 70 people to sign up to this creator couples newsletter which earned me a free zoom call to be able to look at my negotiation strategy. Even they were shocked with how many sign ups I did just from 1 post and they all signed up within 1 day. Be great and you can work ANY niche!
What advice would you give to someone looking to start their journey as an influencer?
Make sure that being an influencer is something you truly want to do. It’s a lot of work, but if you are consistent and show up for yourself every day. It will come a lot easier and better for you. Don’t rely on others to do the research for you. It’s for you to implement the information given and work hard towards your goals. Be authentic and keep loving yourself in the process as social media can be cruel. Be strong!
What trends do you foresee in influencer marketing in the coming years?
I am not sure, as the media changes every week and month. It’s so hard to keep up with it! However, I know the marketing will get bigger and bigger to the point where us influencers are turning into at home models. They will probably do less modeling jobs so often and put their funds into influencer marketing. It’s cheaper and easier to be honest because the companies would no longer have to hire editors as most influencers have their own people or they do it themselves. So who knows where this will go. I know for sure it’s not leaving any time soon as influencer marketing is HUGE in the financial department. We make brands a lot of money!
How do you negotiate and establish partnerships with brands?
I am very simple with my strategy and try not to over complicate things as brands will leave the email if you explain too much. I keep it short and simple, say hello and describe what you want to help the brand achieve. Tell them what you can bring to the table and showcase the numbers. Brands want to see numbers and make sure you are worth spending money on.
What advice would you give to aspiring influencers looking to monetize their platforms?
Don’t rush the process! It’s not easy, but discipline yourself into being consistent. Don’t give up and continue to be authentic in your work. People love authenticity and don’t want to see fakes all the time as there are enough in the social media world. Always bring your A game, but remember you don’t have to be perfect and it’s okay to want to take a break. Just make sure to come back!
